Negen maanden hebben statushouders op het GWL terrein (postcode 1051) gewoond. Bewoners van het GWL terrein hebben gezorgd voor een warm welkom door de inrichting van de woonruimtes, door buddy’s te zijn en door activiteiten te organiseren. Intussen werkten de statushouders aan hun inburgering, onder andere via taalles en door een baantje te zoeken. Toen de statushouders een permanente ruimte kregen aangeboden hielpen bewoners van 1051 met de verhuizing.
War in my neighbourhood (Oorlog in mijn buurt)
Schoolchildren on a visit to elderly man and woman who tell them about life in their neighbourhood during the Nazi-German occupation in the Second World War.
Their visit is part of a schools project. The children learn about the war through the wartime experiences of elderly people who lived as children in their neighbourhood during the war.
